Reservations can be made through our website or by contacting our team directly.

To complete a booking, customers may be required to provide their full name, contact details, service dates, number of participants, and relevant information such as age, height, weight, shoe size, and skiing or snowboarding experience.

Discounts cannot be combined unless expressly permitted.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that travel plans may change and aim to provide a fair and transparent cancellation policy.

Cancellation 7 Days or More Before the Service

Customers who cancel their reservation at least 7 full days (168 hours) before the scheduled start of their booked service are entitled to a 100% refund of their deposit.

Cancellation Less Than 7 Days Before the Service

For cancellations made less than 7 days before the scheduled service, the deposit is non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

No-Shows

Customers who fail to arrive for their booked service without prior cancellation are not entitled to a deposit refund.

Early Termination

If a customer voluntarily stops using rented equipment or discontinues lessons before the end of the booked period, unused services are generally non-refundable, subject to applicable consumer rights.

Cancellation by The Ski Depot Borovets

If we are unable to provide a confirmed service, customers will be offered an appropriate alternative or a full refund for the service that cannot be provided.

Approved refunds will normally be processed using the original payment method within 14 calendar days of confirmation.

These provisions apply to our ski and snowboard rentals and lessons. Accommodation, airport transfers, and other third-party services may have separate cancellation conditions, which will be communicated before booking.

5. Booking Changes & Rescheduling

We understand that unexpected circumstances may require changes to your plans.

Customers wishing to change their rental dates, lesson times, equipment requirements, or other reservation details should contact us as early as possible.

Our team will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes, subject to equipment availability, instructor schedules, and existing reservations.

Rescheduling is not guaranteed, and any additional costs or price differences will be communicated before confirmation.

A request to change a reservation does not automatically cancel the original booking or extend the cancellation deadline.

6. Ski & Snowboard Equipment Rental

All rental equipment provided by The Ski Depot Borovets is professionally inspected, maintained, and prepared for use.

Our team assists customers in selecting suitable equipment based on their height, weight, shoe size, experience, and personal requirements.

Customers must provide accurate information to ensure appropriate equipment selection and binding adjustments.

Equipment Rental Conditions:

  • Rental equipment must be used only for its intended purpose.
  • Customers must take reasonable care of all rented items.
  • Equipment must not be transferred to another person without our approval.
  • Any technical issues or damage must be reported immediately.
  • Customers must not modify or repair equipment without authorization.
  • All equipment must be returned by the agreed date and time.

The Ski Depot reserves the right to refuse or discontinue equipment rental where its use presents a significant safety risk.

7. Equipment Damage, Loss & Theft

Customers are responsible for taking reasonable care of rented equipment throughout the rental period.

Normal wear and tear resulting from proper use is accepted and will not be charged.

Customers may be responsible for reasonable repair or replacement costs where equipment is lost, stolen, or damaged through negligence, misuse, or failure to follow rental instructions.

Any charges will be based on the actual damage, reasonable repair costs, or the fair replacement value of the equipment, taking its age and condition into account.

Customers should report any damage, theft, or equipment malfunction as soon as possible.

Customers are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing defects, normal wear, or circumstances for which The Ski Depot is legally responsible.

8. Equipment Collection & Return

Customers should arrive at the agreed collection location with their booking confirmation and any identification reasonably required for rental verification.

We recommend allowing sufficient time for equipment fitting and adjustments before heading to the slopes.

Equipment must be returned to the designated rental location by the agreed return time.

Late returns may result in additional rental charges, based on the applicable published rates and communicated rental conditions.

If equipment is returned early, unused rental days are generally non-refundable unless otherwise agreed or required by law.

9. Ski & Snowboard Lessons

Our professional ski and snowboard lessons are designed for adults and children of different experience levels.

Lessons are provided by qualified instructors, with an emphasis on safety, proper technique, confidence, personal attention, and enjoyment.

Customers are responsible for selecting a suitable lesson level and providing accurate information about their experience and physical abilities.

Participants must arrive at the agreed meeting point on time, wearing suitable winter clothing and appropriate equipment.

Late arrival may reduce the available lesson time. Where possible, our team will assist with alternative arrangements, but missed lesson time is not guaranteed to be replaced.

Instructors may adapt lesson activities, terrain, and difficulty according to participants' abilities, weather conditions, and safety considerations.

Private and group lessons are subject to instructor availability and the confirmed booking arrangements.

10. Children's Equipment & Lessons

At The Ski Depot Borovets, the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of our youngest guests are especially important.

Children must be booked by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for providing accurate information about the child's age, abilities, equipment requirements, and relevant safety needs.

Parents or guardians must ensure children arrive at the agreed meeting point and are collected promptly at the end of their lessons.

Children must follow their instructor's guidance and safety instructions.

We strongly recommend appropriate protective equipment, including helmets, for all young skiers and snowboarders.

Our instructors provide patient, supportive, and age-appropriate guidance to help children develop confidence and enjoy their time on the snow.

11. Safety & Personal Responsibility

Skiing and snowboarding are outdoor sports involving inherent risks, including falls, collisions, changing snow conditions, and injury.

All customers are expected to:

  • Follow ski area rules, signs, and safety instructions.
  • Respect other skiers and snowboarders.
  • Use equipment appropriate to their abilities.
  • Maintain control and ski or snowboard responsibly.
  • Follow instructions provided by our staff and instructors.
  • Avoid participating under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Report equipment problems immediately.

We strongly recommend wearing a suitable helmet and obtaining winter sports travel insurance.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for personal injury, defective equipment, negligence, or other matters where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

12. Weather Conditions & Ski Area Operations

Borovets is a mountain resort where weather and snow conditions can change rapidly.

Ski lifts, slopes, and other resort facilities are operated by independent organizations and may be affected by strong winds, heavy snowfall, insufficient snow, technical problems, or safety restrictions.

The Ski Depot Borovets cannot guarantee particular snow conditions, lift operations, or access to specific slopes.

Bad weather or partial lift closures do not automatically entitle customers to a refund when the booked service remains available.

If circumstances prevent us from providing a booked service, we will offer reasonable alternatives, rescheduling, or an appropriate refund in accordance with applicable law.

The safety of our guests and instructors remains our priority.

13. Accommodation & Airport Transfers

The Ski Depot Borovets may assist customers with accommodation reservations, airport transfers, and additional holiday arrangements.

Some services may be provided by independent hotels, transport companies, or other third-party suppliers.

Where a service is supplied by a third party, its booking conditions, payment requirements, cancellation policies, and operational rules may apply.

Relevant supplier information and conditions will be communicated before the booking is finalized.

The Ski Depot will clearly identify whether it acts as the direct service provider or as an intermediary.

Where services are sold together as a package or linked travel arrangement, any applicable statutory travel protections will be respected.

14. Personal Belongings

Customers are responsible for taking reasonable care of their personal belongings, including clothing, mobile phones, wallets, and valuables.

We recommend keeping valuables secure and avoiding leaving personal items unattended.

The Ski Depot is not responsible for losses outside its reasonable control, without prejudice to liability arising from negligence or other legal obligations.

15. Customer Conduct

We aim to maintain a welcoming, respectful, and safe environment for all guests and staff.

Customers are expected to treat employees, instructors, and other visitors with courtesy and respect.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue a service in cases of threatening behavior, harassment, serious misconduct, or actions that endanger others.

Any decision to discontinue a service will be handled fairly and in accordance with applicable law.

16. Personal Data & Privacy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting personal information.

Personal data collected during reservations may be used to process bookings, communicate with customers, organize equipment rentals and lessons, and meet legal obligations.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Further information about how personal data is collected, stored, and processed should be provided in our separate Privacy Policy.

17. Complaints & Customer Support

Your satisfaction is important to us.

If you experience a problem with your equipment, lessons, or reservation, please inform our team as soon as possible so we can attempt to resolve the matter promptly.

Formal complaints may be submitted through our official contact channels.

Please include your booking reference, service date, and a description of the issue.

We will review complaints fairly and respond within a reasonable period.

Your statutory rights to seek assistance from consumer protection authorities or pursue other available remedies remain unaffected.

18. Liability & Insurance

The Ski Depot Borovets is committed to maintaining equipment, providing professional instruction, and taking reasonable measures to protect customer safety.

However, skiing and snowboarding involve risks that cannot be eliminated entirely.

Customers are strongly encouraged to obtain suitable winter sports insurance covering medical expenses, accidents, personal liability, equipment damage, and holiday disruption.

The Ski Depot is responsible for losses arising from its failure to meet applicable contractual and legal obligations.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits mandatory consumer rights or excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful.

19. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply to individual customers.

Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith communication with the aim of reaching a fair resolution.

If an agreement cannot be reached, customers retain the right to use applicable consumer dispute resolution procedures and competent courts.

20. Acceptance of Terms & Conditions

By making a reservation with The Ski Depot Borovets, customers confirm that they have had the opportunity to read and understand these Terms & Conditions and agree to the applicable booking requirements.

We encourage all guests to review their reservation details, cancellation conditions, and service information before completing payment.
